This Kafue National Park accommodation is remote but offers comfort and bush cuisine in a superb game rich area along the banks of the Kafue and Lufupa Rivers. The beauty of the waterways can be fully appreciated from either safari camp.
Guests on a Zambia safari holiday can leave their cares behind at this peaceful Kafue National Park accommodation, and immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and smells of the African bush. Activities include exciting bush and river activities or simply doing nothing at all while soaking up the atmosphere.
Both camps overlook the sparkling waterways of the Kafue River where it connects to the Lufupa Channel. This beautiful region in far northern Kafue National Park is characterised by floodplains, broad-leaved woodlands, lush riverine vegetation and dambos with open grassy clearings.
Lufupa River Camp gives guests access to game filled areas in the dambos and woodlands, while Lufupa Tented Camp unlocks an area of remote wilderness. Northern Kafue is known for its Leopard sightings, also regular viewings of Elephant and Lion. More than 400 bird species reside here as well as huge populations of Hippo.
