Driving Safari

There are a number of safari vehicles at New Kalala ready to take every guest on a personalized safari where individual interests are taken into account. Short safaris take place in the morning, late afternoon or evening, or longer day trips can be arranged in to unchartered areas for a truly exciting African adventure

Private Island Lunches

Guests can enjoy a private, castaway lunch on an uninhabited and secluded island in the middle of the lake, while Hippo and Crocodile go about their daily routines.

River Safari

River Safaris are offered seasonally along the Kafue River and can only be enjoyed during the day, as the river becomes a dangerous place after dark. Hippo and Crocodile can be seen and amongst other animals coming to the water to drink. Birdlife is always very active at the riverside.

Fishing

New Kalala Camp has a proud fishing heritage that is well known within the local angling community. Big attractions are the many species of bream including the elusive Three Spot bream. Boats and all necessary equipment are provided to support this activity

Lake Cruises

Casual cruises are also offered for peaceful contemplation in the warmth of the sun or for fun and enjoyment whilst observing the scenery and wildlife.
