Climate of North Luangwa

The best time to visit North Luangwa is during the dry season from June to November. This season starts off warm with daytime temperatures in the region of 24°C (75°F) but quite cool nights.

Hippopotamus

Hippos weigh from 1,600-3,200 kg (up to 3 tons) and it is amazing just how fast they can move, both in and out of the water. Their two essential requirements are water deep enough to submerge in and a good supply of grassland.
