The North Luangwa National Park in the east of Zambia is extremely remote and wild.

Only visitors accompanied by a licensed professional guide are allowed to enter. No self-drive vehicles are admitted. 

Mwaleshi Camp is renowned for herds of Buffalo up to 2,000 strong and plenty of Lion, for whom Buffalo is a favourite food. Birdlife is no less impressive with an awesome variety.

Access to Mwaleshi Camp is via the Mwaleshi airstrip and then a 15-minute drive or a 45-minute walk to the camp.

Carol and John Coppinger also run Tafika Camp and Chikoko Walking Trails in the South Luangwa, Zambia, with walks between Chikiko Bush Camp and Crocodile Bush Camp.
