The Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia is known for its great herds of Buffalo and Elephant. These and other game cross back and forth across the Chongwe River and spend time along the riverbanks. The escarpment hosts many creatures not found on the valley floor.

Guests on guided Zambia walking safaris can discover the Chongwe Falls and escarpment. Here in the Miombo Woodlands of the Park, guests have rare sightings of a variety of shy creatures such as the Tree Hyrax, Simango / Blue Monkey and the Klipspringer. There are also the ruins of long forgotten villages to explore.
