In the Luangwa National Park there are 60 different animal species and over 400 different bird species.
The South Luangwa National Park has one of the densest populations of Leopard in Southern Africa. Thornicroft's Giraffe, unique to Luangwa Valley are plentiful. The Park also has Lion, so keep an eye out for them during your walking safari.
On the plains you could see the large Elephant and Buffalo herds. The hippopotamus cant be missed! There is fabulous Hippo viewing all along the Luangwa River. Zebra can be seen running in small herds, and there are 14 different antelope species.
