This safari house is situated in an area known as one of the greatest wildlife sactuaries in the world.


Luangwa Safari House is situated in South Luangwa, Zambia, close to Nkwali Camp. South Luangwa National Park is often considered as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world.

The 9050 kilometre square park offers a wide variety of wildlife, birds and vegetation. It is in South Luangwa National Park that the walking safari originated and is definitely one of the best ways to experience the wilderness of Africa.

How to get there:

There are domestic flights 10 times a week during peak season (June-October) from Lusaka. Charter planes can fly direct without clearing customs at Lusaka and there are a number of charter companies in Zambia. Zambia Airways offers scheduled flights from Lusaka to Mfuwe.

While at the airport, head to Jake's Moondog Café outside and enjoy and excellent bush bar with cold beers and mouth watering food. Next door is the famous Magenge Crafts Shop where you will find a wonderful collection of fine arts made by local artists and craftsmen.
